Tucked away in an obscure corner of the Boneyard, the Ash Grove was a legendary folk music club between the late 1950s and early 1970s before it was burned down by anti-Communist extremists for showing Cuban films. It had just been restored in the mid 21st century when the Great War transpired. In its heyday, great artists including Bob Dylan, Doc Watson, and Johnny Cash performed there. Now it's been restored once more as a hangout for Followers, beatniks, rebellious teenagers, and others that the stodgy NCR considers ne'er-do-wells.

History

The Ash Grove was in ruins for many years after the war, as it was outside Adytum and not being used by the various gangs and scavs outside the small town. When the Boneyard was incorporated into the NCR and the ruins of Los Angeles surged with settlers, an enterprising member of the Followers decided to restore the Ash Grove, having read about it in their library headquarters. It became a little known bar and music hall, removed from the more staid parts of town. It inexplicably developed a special following among cartographers, couriers, explorers, and trailblazers who enjoy comparing maps and notes in the Grove's comfortable atmosphere.
