Here's some interesting things that J.E. Sawyer himself had to say on the Legion.

Edward Sallow created Caesar's Legion as an imitation of the Roman Legion, but without any of the Roman society that supported the Roman Legion. I've written this before, but there are no optimates, no populares, no plebes, no equestrians, no patricians, no senate, no Rome. There's no right to private property (within the Legion itself). There's no civil law. There aren't even the ceremonial trappings of Roman society. Legates don't receive triumphs following a victory. No one in the Legion retires to a villa in Sedona. Soldiers in Caesar's Legion don't have personal freedom. They "get" to fight and die for Caesar. It's not a volunteer military, though many le…

    Introductions

    August 9, 2018 by BigIron44

Wow, I probably should have done this sooner.

G'Day everyone, I'm BigIron. I wrote on this site a long while ago, maybe two years, but I only put out one, poorly written article before losing the will to continue. Now, I'm a bit older, and a little bit of a better writer (though you can be the judge of that).

So far, I've put out 5 articles, with two more on the go. I'm enjoying the writing, and I get a small rush of endorphins everytime I add a category to a page, or edit an infobox to incorporate new articles. However, I've consistently failed to figure out how to add a picture to an article, but I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually.

Hope everyone has a great day, and that they get a rush of good ideas

According to the Fallout Bible, (which itself is non-canon) there are 122 Vaults. There are 29 canon Vaults accounted for, and another 21 non-canon Vaults for a total of 50, leaving 72. (Where Fallout Canon is currently defined as the computer games Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 76 and the comic One Man and a Crate full of Puppets. Fallout: Tactics is considered to be “broad-strokes” canon). These numbers do not include Vault 0, which is not a regular part of the Vault Program, and furthermore comes from the aforementioned Fallout Tactics. Fallout Shelter can have vaults numbered 000 to 999 (including the numbers of existing Vaults). These are obviously non-canon.

Besides Vaults 63 and 76, Fallout 76 may have tw…

    Pre-war music

    July 17, 2018 by Darthfish

As near as I can tell, we have no examples of pre-war music in the Fallout world from the 21st Century. We have various historical pieces (courtesy of Diamond City Radio et al.) and post-war examples (eg Magnolia), but little in between. So in preparation for a forthcoming article, I'm looking around for ideas for "historical" Fallout universe music, especially for the last few years before the Great War. Styles, sounds or even just some band names to throw around; as long as it fills in this odd gap.

    To whomever reads this,

Hello, I'm CaptainCain, an old user from back in the day, some of you may know, or remember me, others may not. In short I used to be an admin until I had to leave about a year ago due for real life reasons. Anyways, I have some time off and figured I'd come back to do a bit of editing on some of my old articles. That being said I'm not terribly up to date on the state of the wiki's lore or what projects you guys are working on so please bare with me. At any rate, I'm glad to be back and look forward to contributing once again to the wiki, if for only a brief moment.

So, as the title says, I'm back and trying out a new project. However, to make sure it dosen't end up the half-baked potato Idaho was, I'm asking for help. I intend to try and flesh out the lovely tropical island nation of Cuba and its people following the Great War. One of the more controversial peices of content there, aside from Molemen, Communists, and good 'ole US Navy and Marine Remnants, is a group of the Enclave still operating out of Guantanmo Bay.

As the Rules clearly state, I need at least two collaberators, so anyone interested feel free to approach me on Discord or on my Talk page.

I want to outline some of my basic concepts for the group here so there can be as little friction as possible once proper collaberation starts. First…

Future Fallout games have had a place in fan’s minds since the first Fallout in 1997, more than twenty years ago. The fans on this wiki have been no different as seen in the lead-up to Fallout 4 not so long ago. However, one user in 2009 had a rather... unique vision of what Fallout 4 might be.

This blog is exactly as the title says: I want to hear your guys’ opinions on Tranquility Lane’s direction as of late (that includes you lurkers). I’m kind of still learning this whole admin job, and we’ve had some big changes to the wiki’s rules earlier this year that were meant to help users, new and old. Feel free to critique and voice your concerns.

Some questions to, as OvaltinePatrol said, get the ball rolling:

    • How do you feel about the recent changes to the Rules (relatively recent)?
    • Do you feel TL is going in a good direction at the moment?
    • Do you have any suggestions/concerns that the admins can address?

Hey guys. Brick (Sam) here. Now that the Ave, True to Caesar contest is coming to a close. I've decided to put forth an idea for an unofficial contest. There won't be any reward besides the admiration of your peers unless an admin decides to make this official. Now let me propose the idea.

Maine is a scarcely touched area besides the Far Harbor DLC and my Articles in the Far North. Leaving a massive area of untouched land for articles. Thus I have chosen the Moose River Valley as the location of said contests. The land of Northern Maine (where the River Moose Valley is located) are free of radiation as they were not hit during the war and the airstream didn't carry nuclear fallout their way. However, the Great War took its toll in Northern …

Hey all you who still people this wiki and those who lurk. As some of you who have been here for a while will know, Tranquility Lane has not has the best past with contests. However, the past is the past, and I think the wiki has moved beyond the petty bickering that characterized past contests (also, most of the users present then are now absent). We're gonna give this whole idea another spin, and so here is Tranquility Lane's first fall contest.

This contest, as you can probably tell from the title, will focused around a somewhat neglected faction on this wiki: Caesar's Legion. Sure, we have characters like Eagle and Jigatahi and the Legion appears frequently as a stock villain in articles, but the Legion's content on this wiki pales in c…

    Rule and Style Update

    September 27, 2017 by MongoosePirate

Before the recent update, the rules of Tranquility Lane had been relatively unchanged for almost six years. With some of the changes, I know some of the old users might be upset and feel that the site's rules are now way too lenient. Also, some new users might feel that the rules haven't been changed enough and are still too restrictive. This blog is for everyone to state your opinions on the changes, the results, and any potential grievances you might have. I want to see your thoughts. Thank you all.

Yeah, i'm back from like a year-long hiatus. Expect new pages soon, and well, some zany shit you'd expect from Fallout!

On another note, i recently got back into Fallout, i had New Vegas and Fallout 3 downloaded on steam for awhile now, decided to play it, and i'm really enjoying it so far. I think New Vegas is a lot more better and "coherent" than Fallout 3, in my own opinion. Fallout 3 is decent, but it's just meh in my own opinion. Weapons degrade way too quickly in Fallout 3 though.

    Anyway, see you soon.

    November 19, 2016 by ScienceGuy44

    ...Aaand I'm back.

Been Rather a long while since I've posted on the fanon wiki properly; that's mostly because of real-life issues and a general lack of things to actually write about thanks to a glorious lack of ideas. I've covered all the bases I wanted to cover with my articles, and now I've not really got anything else to cover than the odd spelling mistake and odd snippet slapped into otherwise already-finished articles. So, I've decided to come into the saloon, waddle over to the bar and slam my pocket lint and safety pins on the counter and ask; are there any roleplay forums up?

One of the last Articles I properly finished was Larry Johnson; the long-time character-of-choice for my roleplay on the forums, limited as it was, in the ho…

However, we need willing users, preferably older users who are willing to give tips to new users along with helping in idea development, proofreading and giving them advice on how to improve their work. It should be stated that the purpose of this help is not to enforce or coerce a user into a certain mode of writing, but rather help th…

So, I decided I'd talk about my favourite Fallout subject; the pre-war world's cars. Largely based off concept cars from the 1950s, drawn up and sometimes even produced in an age where the future was this bright and shiny thing that most of the world looked on in wonder and hope at, the majority of most pre-war cars seen in the Fallout World, especially Bethesda and Obsidian's renditions, are of fantastic and rather oddly scenic design. From the streamlined Atomic V8 Corvega to the oddly shaped, bubble-domed Cherry Bomb car, otherwise know to most as th…

Point Lookout, ho…
