Currituck is a settlement crawling with raiders and bandits.
Named for the Currituck Sound just adjacent to the settlement, Currituck was an unincorporated settlement on mainland North Carolina. The Great War led to the town quickly being abandoned in favor of larger settlements, though the town was occasionally used by nomads and roaming groups over the past two centuries. Most recently, a group of raiders has moved into the town and has since been using it as a home and a playground, destroying the rotting houses and taking whatever they can possibly take.
The raiders are incredibly hostile to incoming travelers. Occasionally, a raid from Swampfolk or a bad storm will hit Currituck, keeping the bandits from staging any sort of meaningful attack on nearby settlements.
