Knott's Island is an island in the Broken Banks. Located along the former border between the Southeast commonwealth and the Columbia Commonwealth, this relatively large island is home to a number of tiny domiciles barely fit for human habitation. A number of Swampfolk also call Knott's Island home.
Background[]
Before the war, Knott's Island was a lowly-populated island. Filled mostly with marshy lands and tidal zones, Knott's Island was home to a few vacation homes, some small beach communities, and a sparse covering of roads. Two hundred years of repeated bombardment by hurricanes have flattened most of the beach homes on Knott's Island. The inhabitants are largely swampfolk, who inhabit the few beach houses and communities that remain standing on Knott's Island, preying on humans dumb enough to travel to Knott's Island out of curiosity.
The humans that do call Knott's Island home are largely hostile bandits, hardy scavengers who are constantly at war with nature, with the putrid swampfolk shuffling from town to town, and with the hideous mirelurks that call the shores of Knott's Island a nesting ground.
