[edit] Biography
Joseph Stigma had been trained as a member of the Brotherhood of Steel in the West Coast. He was a very skilled warrior and was well known among the BoS. Stigma fought in the Rocky Mountains to defend a small village while he was stationed there. His superiors noted his leadership skills and skills during the battle. He was promoted to Paladin after that battle. When Paladin Lyons was sent to Washington D.C. Stigma went with him. Stigma became good friends with Timothy Hughes during the trip. While on the way to Washington D.C. Lyon's forces stopped by the Pitt and engaged in a bloody series of battles known as the Scourge. Stigma and many of his men were overwhelmed due to them being the first sent to charge. They were captured and tortured. After Lyon's men defeated the Raiders they left for D.C. believing Stigma and his comrades to be dead. Stigma and his fellow captives held great resentment for this believing Lyons left them behind.
Several days later Stigma led a daring revolt which resulted in the total annihilation of the Raiders at the prison camp. Stigma led the captives and his fellow brothers to New York where they formed the Manhattan Order of Steel. Stigma gave himself the title of Superior and led his forces into the Manhattan Ruins. He led his forces to victory over the Enclave in several battles and he also led his forces to capture the Museum of Natural History which the MOS now uses as a base.
Stigma handles most of the Order's affairs, but is also assisted by his most loyal soldiers the Steel Trinity and High Paladin Daniel Kruger. Stigma prefers to be on the front lines, but knows the importance of his position and is able to contain himself.
Stigma is romantically involved with Paladin Sipher. Stigma is also good friends with his other two commanders. He is well respected by everyone in his Order. Kruger and his personal unit The Death Guard had honored Stigma by making him an honorary member of their group. Stigma in turn has branded the Death Guard as the most elite unit in the MOS.
All of Stigma's follower's view their leader as being strong. During his time in captivity by the Raiders Stigma developed an intense hatred for Slavers and Raiders. Stigma also has high expectations of his group, but due to their limited numbers and tech the MOS cannot live up to what he expects.
[edit] Operation Rearmament
Stigma led an attack on the Enclave Research Camp at Battery Park. After a short skirmish his forces bested the Enclave after sustaining severe losses. Stigma was successful in capturing one of the Enclave commanders. With the MOS' recent victory Stigma feels that they are prepared to launch the long delayed Operation Salvage.
[edit] Operation Salvage
Stigma along with his Steel Trinity have formulated a plan to move into the Brooklyn-Queens area. He has assigned Paladin Wesley to lead the operation. Stigma hopes that Wesley's forces will be successful for if they aren't the MOS can not survive any longer.
After Sipher and her team stole two vertibirds from the Enclave Stigma sent one vertibird to assist Wesley in his mission. He ordered High Paladin Daniel Kruger and the elite MOS' squad The Death Guard to go help Wesley via vertibird.
[edit] Operation Rising Steel
After much debate Stigma has agreed to let Sipher proceed with trying to infiltrate the Vault Tech HQ.
After Sipher's successful infiltration and her acquisition of a pair of vertibirds Stigma decided to lead a team to secure the Vault Tech HQ. Stigma and his team arrived at the building and fought ferociously against the Enclave forces. After hours of fighting Stigma and his forces took control over the building. Stigma immediately went back to the Museum.
By the time Stigma arrived there the Enclave assault on the building was well underway. Stigma and his pilot Porter fought back the enemy reinforcements and Stigma fought against the Enclave supreme commander, Gregory York. Stigma could not stop York from killing his good friend Creed though. After a brief conversation between the two leaders York escaped and Stigma vowed to get revenge for Creed.
[edit] Operation Clashing Steel
Stigma led his forces in the front line during this operation. Stigma hoped that Supreme Commander York would be in the Federal Reserve when his forces attacked, but unfortunately York had left for the Providence Base. Stigma's knights succeeded in forcing the Enclave to leave Manhattan. Stigma had never been prouder of his men after the battle. The Superior has now set his sights on wrestling control of all of New York from the other local factions.
[edit] Skills
Stigma has always been an impressive soldier and leader. His skills with fire arms makes him a deadly foe. Stigma is also talented with computers and machinery. Stigma tends to be a bit of a daredevil. At times he does things that seem very dangerous, but luck always seems to be on his side.

[edit] AER11 Laser Rifle
The AER11 Laser Rifle was created by the Manhattan Order of Steel in New York.
- Origins
This version of the ever popular laser rifle was created by Scribe Oleander with the aid of Paladin Sipher. Oleander used the concept of the AER9 laser rifle as a model for the creation of this gun. Oleander decided to change the look of the gun and conserve the amount of space that the focusing lens and energy converter took up. The gun went under many tests and was approved for use in the field. Three guns were made in the first cycle of production. Superior Stigma and Praetor Wesley were given two of the weapons while the last weapon was kept in display in the Museum of Natural History.
- Usage
The gun uses microfusion cells as ammunition. An ammo counter was put onto the side of the rifle. The microfusion cells are loaded into the bottom of the gun. The energy is sent to the center of the gun and funneled throughout the focusing lens at the middle of the gun barrel. The laser is shot from the gun barrel with deadly precision.
On the gun's undercarriage is a pulse grenade launcher. Up to two pulse grenades can be loaded into the gun's grenade launcher. The pulse grenades are used to disable any machinery.
This gun can be effective against any armored foes and robots.
