The Tree of Upside-Down Buddhas is a tree located in the Detroit Wasteland. Found on an overgrown nature strip north-west of the Downtown District, this tree is notable for its unusual ornamentation. The tree has a number of miniature Buddha statues hanging upside-down from its branches. Who tied the statues there and why remains unknown. Otherwise, it is an ordinary Elm tree in poor health with little to distinguish it from those around it.

The location is usually regarded with some curiosity by locals, seeing as nobody knows who put the upside-down Buddha statues there in the first place, nor for that matter, why. it has also been used in past as a meeting spot or even a dead drop, given that it is a distinctive location away from other settlements or major raider groups.
